Customer approval contributes 5 points, recent monthly activity 3, and confirmed seasonal timing 2. Ratings with a published count are adjusted toward a chosen 3.5/5 baseline with 100 notional ratings. A missing count limits confidence and caps the suggestion at Try small. Wine-label ratings also remain Try small until the listed vintage is verified. Activity uses a logarithmic scale, capped at 500 monthly check-ins; snapshots older than 90 days are excluded from this factor. These are initial model settings, not measured industry averages; comparisons are provisional and not style-adjusted.

8.5+: Must-have with all three factors and at least 100 product ratings. 7–8.4: Good to have. 5.5–6.9: Try small. Below 5.5: Low priority. Missing factors are excluded and known weights rescaled to 10, with coverage shown. Every drink receives a provisional buying priority. Without verified product evidence, the limited-evidence model starts at 5.5, uses fresh vendor highlights and available producer context, and is capped at 6.9 (Try small). This does not create a public product rating. An asterisk marks this lower-confidence score.

Brand fallback: an in-season product with fewer than 100 ratings can use a brand rated at least 3.75/5 with at least 1,000 ratings. The result is always Try small. Brand ratings remain separate and cannot override product feedback below 3/5. Full product ratings take priority.

Unavailable or out-of-season items become Avoid for now. Product feedback below 2.5/5 with at least 100 ratings also triggers Avoid for now. Unconfirmed keg suitability triggers Needs review. No automatic quantities or orders are generated.

Confirmed year-round and in-season products receive equal timing points. Source ages vary; monthly activity is not a verified trend. No competitive-price, margin, POS, or store-fit points are included.
